Place it near your furnace

The scent tube connects to the supply duct, downstream of the filter, coil, and fan. Never connect it to the return or intake side. No plumbing or rewiring is required. If you are unsure which duct is the supply, ask an HVAC professional before drilling.

Fill it with a story

Each 500ml bottle refills by hand. Duration depends on your intensity setting, usually about three to six weeks. To change scents, rinse the bottle with a little rubbing alcohol, then pour in your next story.

Control it from your phone

Use the app to adjust scent intensity, set schedules, check remaining days, and swap bottles when you want a different story in the air. Larger homes may need more than one unit, and the concierge can help plan placement.

Will it fit my HVAC system? ▾
Connect the scent tube to the supply duct, never the return or intake. Set your thermostat fan to ON or its continuous fan setting while the diffuser is scheduled to run. Not sure which duct is which? Ask Aira or have an HVAC professional confirm before drilling.
Where exactly does it install? ▾
On the supply side of your HVAC, near the furnace, where it scents the conditioned air moving out to your rooms. You drill one 1/2 inch hole in the supply duct (never the return or intake side). Average install is about ten minutes. The step-by-step setup guide walks you through every part.
Do I need HVAC at all? ▾
Right now, yes. The system integrates with your HVAC, where one device covers up to 5,000 sq ft. Larger homes may need more than one unit, and the concierge can help plan placement. A standalone option is coming soon.
Can I install it myself? ▾
Most people do, in about ten minutes. You will need an electrical outlet near the furnace. If you would rather not drill, reach out to your local HVAC company and they can mount it for you.
Is it safe? Any heat or flame? ▾
None. It uses cold air diffusion, so there is no heat, no flame, and no fans you can hear.
How often do I refill, and how do I change scents? ▾
A 500ml story usually lasts about three to six weeks, depending on the intensity setting you choose in the app. The app also shows your remaining days. To change scents, unscrew the bottle, add a little rubbing alcohol, swish and empty it, then pour in your next story. Buy a story anytime or subscribe so a fresh one arrives before you run out.
